Pros & Cons
Pros
The 5x optical zoom is ideal for zooming into faces and license plates. Video resolution even zoomed is good. Panning and tilting works smoothly but i wish it were a bit faster.
Physical install needs four screws and of course ethernet cabling. Running on nightvision it draws 6 watts through the switch. Comes with a power adapter (not needed if using poe) and weatherproof ethernet connector.
The cost is a bit steep, but this thing is built like a tank, so you know the quality is there. Lacks some features (auto-tracking & smart ai for pets/vehicles) as compared to other ptz cameras.
For a normal sized home property it is enough zoom for me. It's nice to be able to zoom in and see exactly is in the driveway or handing out in front of the house.
Cons
Ptz works with the standard viewpro app, but that is it. It's almost as if the gears in the ptz mechanism are out of alignment.

Price
They've also got very reasonably priced and extremely servicable cameras at the mid and low range as well.
This ptz poe camera has everything you'd expect at this price point and then some.
This seems to be a good price point for a decent amount of features.
In the price range of this camera i did not expect it to have that feature but it would be great if it did.

Other parts of my yard have the $60ish 5mp amcrest cameras and this does perform better than those.
4mp is not 4k - it's 2k, but it's better than 1080p.
The camera only does 5x zoom, but it does have ptz, and overall it is a good deal.

Initial setup is easy although this is the second recent amcrest camera i have gotten that didn’t have the typical default ip address and i had to hook it to my local network to find the ip and set it for my separate camera network

In a somewhat covered location it should be fine
