Pros

The amcrest ip4m-1051b is a great indoor camera. I highly recommend this an excellent price performer that appears to be versatile and reliable. It's not poe, but i can deal with that.

Night vision and motion detection are also very good. Technical support is spot on and superb. Can detect when a dog moves around and send alerts.

The camera works well for indoor surveillance, only triggering to record when motion is detected in the space where i have it located. There are many other features such as autoplay and replay which is very useful for quick navigation of the video fee... Read More

Mobile viewing and alerts are very easy to configure and work flawlessly. Home assistant is currently a manual config via yaml but not too hard. Ptz works with assigned button overlays.

I was able to disconnect the network cable and just use wifi after the initial setup. The router is on the 2nd floor of the house. I have a separate pc and monitor setup running the live view of amcrest surveillance pro.

Cons

The wireless setup is problematic. It intermittently drops from network. One of the home cameras no longer connects to any wife or phone even after reset. It appears that amcrest is interested in procuring payment for fixing the problem.

Mobile app is a kludgy pos. The people you first encounter when asking a question just give canned suggestions.

The cameras pan function is overly sensitive and always overshoots. The car cameras turn on but never record.

Big props to making the packaging really well too (soft foam).

Setup was easy due to being able use the amcrest view pro app instead of the amcrest smart home app.

I am very happy with amcrest products and dennis from customer support was very helpfull with setting up the camera

All controls worked with blueiris iphone app as well.

I then went on to try and connect it up to blueiris.

I recommend amcrest change the app to make it more user friendly.
