I must add that with this price amcrest must include a power adapter which this microphone needs for operation.
Competitiveness
I own multiple amcrest products though and have never had an issue so i don’t expect any with this product.

The audio quality i hear is of average quality as it do not have proper noise cancellation

The microphone is not weather sealed so you have to choose location with minimum outdoor effects like rain and snow

Overall experience since there are not many options for branded microphones for ip camera the most reasonable option for these microphone i can see was amcrest amhap200 microphone

Again for the price point they are selling the product at least a malemale rca should be included in the package

I purchased this because my existing front yard camera had poor audio where most of the time the recordings were garbled as it picked up everything including the sounds of traffic and the wind
