The camera performs very well and i would recommend this camera from amcrest for anyone seeking better quality surveillance

It is supposed to be usable outside but checking surface temperature when testing at about 90 degree ambient the cam was something like 108 already not comfortable using this outdoors in climates where really hot outside

I like the camera cause the low profile and not big and bulky like other ptz cameras

Does require some knowledge of networks if you want to interface the camera with software apps other than amcrest

To accomplish this you must assign a static ip address to the camera using the amcrest supplied camera configuration tool

Once a static ip address has been defined for the camera blue iris can be configured

The wifi interface is much more resilient to locking up the camera so much so that i now trust the wifi interface on an equal footing to hooking up the camera with an ethernet cable
