3ghz and less tdp than my phenom ii, the 8370 matches a 9590 in performance and runs consistently better at 4.

Recently got a nice deal on an fx 8370 in an asus m5a99x evo r 2.

You can update to ryzen or go intel for the money they are now wanting for this older cpu.

There is a performance gap but it's reasonably better than the alternatives.
