Pros & Cons
Pros
Decent upgrade from my ryzen 5 1600. Stable paired with an x570 motherboard. Replaced the new rx 580 with a new rx 590 and the rig works like perfect!
The wraith cpu cooler keeps it adequately cool unless you game in an oven or you are going for max overclock. I run it with a 3060 and it could honestly handle a 3070 just fine, maybe a 3080 too.
Cons
Thermal paste on the cpu cooler is still messy. Overall, ryzens have temp issues, and very high chance of defective items. This on the other hand is very hot and temps are quite concerning. The cpu never hits 4.
Highlights
Quality
I definitely recommend it for gaming and any high quality renders
With 6 cores and 12 threads, it handles everything i throw at it with ease, from gaming to productivity tasks like video editin... Read More
Upgrade from amd fx6300 that i built way back in 2014 (9 years running strong, no hiccup).
Old pc boots up in 22 sec and this one under 15 sec in windows and that is with the same graphic card, amd radeon r9 270.
Price
I highly recommend for anyone looking for a budget am4 socket.
I got this cpu for the pc i took to college and it has an insane price to performance.
Price of purchase fit my budget when i built my pc for medium level video editing and processing.
Btw, my cpu is always under $100 since 1995 that i self-built the 1st one.
Shipping
Fast shipping would definately buy from this seller again.
Arrived quickly and packaged securely, great deal!
Thank you so much for shipping this to me very quick.
Packaging/appearance
1: the packaging was a bit weak.
Btw, package came in damage/slit open, but cpu and cooler are ok .
Competitiveness
The amd ryzen 5 3600 is hands down one of the best processors for its price range.
It would be better if they didn't include this junk cooler at all and told you to just go get your own, because at least they w... Read More
If you buy this cpu (and i do recommend it), get another heat sink and use that instead of the included one from amd.
