Am4 still has a lot to offer for anyone who can't afford the latest and greatest offerings. It’s a great product from a leading brand that delivers on its promises. It works great for any 30 series and under you can't beat the price.

Really happy with the performance i'm getting out of it!
So far it’s held up amazingly with the programs i run.
I think i was a bit heavy with the thermal paste.
Price
The price did fluctuate quite a bit on amazon, from $153 to $205.
Packaging/appearance
Going from the old days of the am3 amds and running the old high wattage fx9590 8-core 4.
Competitiveness
I do reccomend a noctua cooler though, as they offer the best air cooling in the industry.
Had a first generation ryzen and it was time to upgrade.
If you want to use this cpu for games more demanding than roblox you will want to pick up a better cooler.
I was going to use a ryzen 1500x but decided that i should do a more updated build for him.

Changed the pbo settings in bios to 90 degrees limit but in gaming it doesnt even go over 70 degs
