Competitiveness
Intel has good i5 and i7 options from multiple generations close to this price point as well.
I also chose this as the am5 upgrade path is hard to ignore when comparing to 13th gen intel, albeit the cost is higher.
I believe intel currently has a similarly performing cpu that costs a bit less.

Its power consumption is also much lower and thus stays cool

Also the included heatsink has thermal paste applied already so you dont need to purchase that seperately
