Pros

With 32 gbs ram and a 2080 nvidia video card, this loads windows in less than 2 seconds! My games run smoothly and my ocassional video editing also. Rendering is smooth and fast as well.

Very easy. Massively powerful. This thing rocks. This processor is an absolute monster.

Runs at 60-65c with a beefy air cooler at full load. Not much out there better for a desk atx box. Plan on replacing the stock cooler for your fancy new cpu.

Cons

The core temperature reaches 95c within 3 minutes, and idles around 50~60c at the ac cooled room. The event viewer shows a whea-logger event id 18 error. I am very confident it is an issue with the motherboard.

Service needs to back up its purported product excellence. Horrible product.

I have running this cpu almost 5 years now, no issues at all solid performance not thinking of upgrading anytime soon

Bought this cpu for my first ever build and couldn’t be happier with the performance.

We built two rigs with this cpu two years ago and no matter what we do to them we can't get them to use more than 6 threads.

Packaging/appearance

Product came in unmarked box, but wraith cooler came with thermal compound applied, and 9 3900x came protected by additional packaging.

Came with a cool fan, which i can’t comment on as i did not yet install it - my previous one was good as is.

Competitiveness

I built a photoshop editing system with this cpu and it is sooooo much faster than the previous intel system.

I like the fact you can multi task on it compared to i7 8700 double the cores with almost the same value.

- i chose the gigabyte b550i aorus pro ax mobo to pair with it, and i could have probably done better.

If you're used to other less powerful cpus you'll notice that these run 'scary' hot.
