This is a noticeable upgrade with some of the more intensive programs i run from day to day. Over all computing seems more seamless and fluid. People say nothing is future proof but i beg to differ.

This is a high-performance and cost-effective process for personal desktop and workstation tailored for multi-purpose workloads. Runs @ 5 g like nobody's business, by undervolt clocking. Because it is an x a touch of overclocking it's a 12c 5ghz cpu.

Highly recommend this cpu. My mobo is a msi mpg x570 gaming plus. Grabbed a mso b550 board and this cpu.

The 5900x is noticeably faster in some applications than my 5600x. It's a solid performer which pairs well with an rtx 3090 or 4040.

Cons

Keeps shutting down during windows installation and rebooting over and over again. Checked different combination of ram dimm slots still same problem. Replacing the processor finally stopped the crashes. Seems others have had similar problems with amd... Read More

Really good processor, i have not had a problem with it, it works great on b550 boards

I didnt even get to try it as i accidentally bent one of the pins upon installation attempt, but it would have been a good part ;(

After plugging that back in, the system rebooted about 1000 times (got to love asus boards!

Got this on a deal at amazon and works like a dream with my 6800xt.

Good value good processors still going strong

00 bucks on one also, it is advertised as a 4.

So you have to spend another $130.

Was expecting this to ship in 2 to 3 weeks according to the amazon shipping estimator, but i had it in 2 days.

And yes they do ship out third party items that is what you have to watch out for.

It's worlds faster and better in every way than his old processor, the ryzen 7 2700x.

It's probably my last 5xxx proc, since the 5950 really ain't that much better.

I would go with intel at this point because they have a better price to performance but it is a stable and reliable cpu overall.
