Pros & Cons
Pros
The 5900x is better suited for gaming due to its price and processing speed, while the 5950x is better for multitasking. Crushes every benchmark. The cores are well balanced and the per-core speed is great for single thread operations. It's everything... Read More
It tears through everything, and i mean everything. With a razor, i carefully cut away the glue and voila the box opens right up. I have it run at 60c avg with air cooling so if you need to look just try to prepare yourself for cooling. The heat is ve... Read More
This is the second 5900x i have ordered in a week. Have had for a couple months. Definitely recommended.
Gaming at every resolution is absolutely unmatched for this price point. Video editing is a breeze! Gaming is absolute blazing! It gets a lot of use everything from my electric guitar to an e50 dac/l50 amp stack.
Cons
The price to amd performance boast only works if the system is 100% compatible with windows in my case. Amazon has issues with fulfillment on this product.
Highlights
Quality
First i will start with the (very) minor con, it's warm.
I have a review for that as well; short story, i am very happy and impressed!
I had to ask myself if this was even a new product.
It would have to be better then the prism coolers that come with the lower end processors due to the wattage this thing pulls o... Read More
Shipping
This is almost as fast as my 5950x!
Good fast and to the net we go, as it is fast when i got it but you know what they say.
Competitiveness
Mind you i have a noctua d-15 cooler and it still runs toasty (running on a b450 so maybe it will run a little cooler on a newer mobo).
I went from a ryzen 7 1700 on a high end air cooler that barely went to 70 degrees c.
I'm upgrading from a 2700x, which was good.
A noctua 120mm cooler or 140mm fans would be better but i didn't want to run i to clearance issues.
