Pros

"this cpu is basically a porsche 911 that only goes 180 mph instead of 200, but in exchange gets 45 mpg and still has the same 0 to 60 time. Oh, as for the cpu, it kicks *. The cpu works too.

Added the wraith cooler. Compared to my i7-10875h this cpu screams with half the heat produced. Plus you get the rainbow swirly fan on the high end standards that are oh so pretty. Traded heat, noise, and energy for better efficiency.

Quality

Happy with the pick, performs great and installed easily.

I have this installed on a 650m motherboard with 128gb of ddr5 and a rtx 4070 card and it runs nice and cool in a 'mesh' style matx case.

Cpus can be delicate, and they can also be swapped or mislabelled on a return.

It never pulled more than 90 watts and - even in a 4u case with a small cooler - averaged 60 degrees c during the flat out run.

Price

Great value for the money, will serve me well for a few years i imagine.

Also the 7800x3d prices just came out and it starts at $449.

I do feel though this model needed to be priced at $399, as we have seen the 7900x is selling at this time around $425 on sale.

Otherwise may as well just get 7800x3d if it stays at 450 but the problem with that is you’ll be waiting for at least another 2 months and we don’t know how it’ll perform yet
