Pros
I'm using a noctua nh-d15 (a beefy boy) to cool this chip. This thing handles everything like a dream! Don't be worried about idle temps if they're a bit higher than you're used to, that's normal.
Cons
Permormance is not there pick intel or 7800x3d depends of your usage.

This is my first build; it's fast, and it has not overheated and caused a fire.
Cooling with my existing am4 watercooler works perfectly and temps not going above 40/50c under load
This cpu blew the doors off my i9 slowtel inside computer that died due to ibuy-- put the rad upside down, air got into the pump.
Bought parts to rebuild a computer and this cpu came doa.
Price
I got mine at a super flash sale at $599 cad plus extra game as bonus from amd.
For that price, 100% worth it for multi-threaded work.
I got this thing for $440 on sale, just $40 more than 7800x3d.
It could stand a $100 off tho.

Competitiveness
As of this time, intels 13/14th gen is just as good as amd's 7000 gen for gaming and workloads, depending on specific use case.

Since games arent sure how to use the memory since all of it is on one chip you basically have to turn one chip off to run without stutters
