This processor is pretty good and can handle heavy tasks

Crushes gaming, multi vm set ups while running multiple games at the same time during ms teams meetings and emailing.

Flashed bios and popped this 9900x in.

Price

At first it was quite expensive when it hovered around ~$500, but now it's a no brainer to get.

This is a no brainer if you need the cores but can’t afford the 9950x.

The price is right at 380$ currently but one should wait until january 2025 for the x3d version if gaming is your primary focus.

Competitiveness

The truth is that the performance is excellent, now compared to its predecessor i think i would simply wait for the price to fall.

Sure it has less cores than the 9950x, but the 12 cores it has run faster than the 9950x's cores.
