Matte black has a sort of sheen to it and it's just lovely. The wavy edge gives them a handmade appeal. The glaze is smooth and sturdy.

These pasta bowls are perfection. The weight and sturdiness of this bowl is beyond what i had hoped for. These bowls are the perfect size for a big salad, diner bowl, soup, so many things.

Cons

Just regular dining. They break in the dishwasher and break when you put hot food on them.

Furthermore, they were packed in heavy foam so that they arrived in perfect condition.

Also, super well packed and definitely we will buy other plates/bowls from this collection.

They came packed in a vey heavy, solid styrofoam type packing that was snuggly taped around both the top and the bottom of each set.
