Sturdy, looks just like picture but silverware does scratch the surface and stays after wash.

First they are rather offwhite not white easily noticed when sitting next to the porcelain bowls they were meant to replace

The sides were not as thick as my older bowls of 15 years ago however i suspect they are thicker than many of the other options on amazon
