It is almost tool-less and will be helpful if you have a wire clipper. The feature i like the most is the clamp that goes around the wire.

I am constantly rewiring and/or moving wall jacks around our house in an effort to get to wired and wireless networking "nirvana".
I transferred 20gb of file at around 2 minutes 50 seconds, which is about max performance.
Price
The price is also great, i'll buy these again, especially for my bigger projects.
They're relatively expensive so you may not use them exclusively but very handy for quick fixes or home use.

The wires will need to be tightly trimmed however as there is not much space for anything sticking out when the pieces are pressed together

That is part of the caution and the other is that this item takes a little more time to install than the punchdowns

Well… okay it does not need the network tools one would normally use to make a solid secure connection
