Pros

The adapter comes with three thermal pads that provide important thermal coupling. Includes thermal pad for cooling if needed. Temps are good at around 39 c with the built in aluminum case that acts as a heat spreader.

The anodized red color looks awesome. This is really a specialty market item that appeals to x-79 enthusiasts. I love to have everything compliment each other in both functionality and color scheme.

My motherboard only has one m. Intel optane with a 1tb wd black m. Getting around 1700mb/s read and write from my corsair m.

Pcie nvme adapter card converts m. Pcie 3. Gb/s. Works perfectly in an x16 pcie slot. Even though the connector pins look like this card offers x16 speed, this is still a pci 3.

Cons

Almost bricked/ruined my pcie port. Now the temp when stressed the same way gets to only 121f.

Competitiveness

Worked perfectly with a 1tb samsung 970.

Btw all the stuff you need to mount a nvme m.

I did not care as i have a 1tb m.

If your nvme has chips on the backside of its circuit board, the blue thermal compound pad will be too thick and squeeze your nvme.
