Pros & Cons
Pros
Signal is strong and have wi-fi 6 build in. Speed increased by 1/3 ( desktop) over previous router. The downstairs is near the door to the pool/patio and extends to all of our wireless smart music speakers at the edge of the patio.
The amplifi router has a built-in vpn feature and dns. The mobile app seems pretty simple to use. It plugs in the power and ethernet cables. It also has a vpn and dns function.
Cons
Buyer beware. All indications from the unit are that it is working fine, but it is not. They claim the features were never available. There is no indication that this product will work.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use and has a lot of features
The lighting and interface is neat and displays a lot of great info about the network status, performance and devices that are connected.
Devices all stay connected, i cant recall the last time i had an outage due to the equipment (usually spectrum if its down).
Never needed to contact support never had issues with wifi signal.
Price
Expensive, but i'm very pleased with this purchase.
So the opportunity to buy this router was a godsend as the price was $100 lass than buying directly from ubiquiti.

Shipping
I contacted customer service, amplifi has the best customer service, fast, helpful, and detailed.
Router arrived promptly and package was in great condition.
I had to reach out a second time (after 3 or 4 emails back and forth) to finally get a return shipment with a paid label.
Packaging/appearance
It was super easy to unpack, set up, and get operational.
Super happy with every aspect of purchase and product, packaging etc.
Pulled off the sleeved packaging to uncover a very nice hinge style box (ufo door opening) which i will have to repurpose becau... Read More
Competitiveness
I tried the asus zenwifi ax6600 but this is a lot more stable and i don’t have wifi dropping like i did with the asus.
I originally purchased the alien router which was by far the best router and highest performing i’ve ever owned.
Hp is perhaps the worst large companies that is incapable of providing a readable and easily understandable manual.
Eero wins this category hands down -- they beat apple at ux -- but the router's performance is meh for it's price point.
