That alone makes this thing worth the price.
What ancel is able to offer in a $300 device is pretty amazing.
I had no idea that something like this was available at such a reasonable price point.
Overall this is a great diagnostic tool, though definitely not inexpensive.
Packaging/appearance
It comes with a nice zippered storage case.
Competitiveness
I previously worked for fluke, which produces a full array of infrared handheld devices to compete with flir.
Having a pretty precise laser infrared thermometer, i decided to compare it with this high tech product.

Although i was able to locate some 2x4s along the side walls where the sun was shining outside the brick wall heating up those 2x4s inside the wall

The interior walls were not as successful since the temperature is not as hot with the cold ac running to cool them down but still i was hoping that this camera would still be able to pick up those studs since they should be above the minimum set temperature

Anyway just a thought and like i said maybe this camera is not made to scan studs inside the interior walls

The software did not allow me to take pictures or videos so i had to screenshot those pics

The good thing is i can see how this camera be useful for home inspection though i was able to scan my office and found out that along the corners and edges are the worst offenders as far as leaking cool or hot air along with windows obviously
