Pros
My husband is a retired master plumber. This adapter works perfectly. Adds about 1 of extension to the 1/2 female pipe fitting for a shower setup.
Cons
Female is too small, male is too large. Inaccurate description. Still leaks at one end or the other.
Female 3/4” seems fine but the male 1/2” in defective. The shank length of the male end is too short to securely fit a standard1/2 female npt fitting.

Even with the wall open we didnt have the room to move the hard piped copper plumbing for the shower head higher without possibly disturbing the framing and plaster wall on the other side of the shower

When we installed the new gooseneck shower arm it did not extend far enough away from the shower wall to accommodate the escutcheon plate we had previously installed without it being slightly on the curved part of the gooseneck the new shower arm did not come with one

We looked at the big box stores and local hardware stores for this fitting to extend the female shower arm connection a little bit further to accommodate the new solid surface shower wall thickness to no avail
