These do collapse but when opening its easy if you do not restrict the opening to extend too far though you can collapse them back to the correct heght again

Great item but you have to avoid overextending the telescopic pieces otherwise they are difficult to reinsert as there is no failsafe stop point to prevent this happening only a written instruction ‘stop’

I cant say much about the tiny compass as i dont do the type of walking or hiking that would require the use of one but it does turn freely im assuming it works

Excellent value for money arrive on time and met all expectation will definitely recommend the use of the purchase is for walking around and not hiking
