Pros & Cons
Pros
I hesitated over the rating for lightweight and in the end decided on 4 stars. The weight is not a problem and i can manoeuvre them easily. The detachable heads are really good quality and are all salon grade.
Cons
The casing is loose, the blade drive is qeak and the power switch is faulty. If these are genuine andis clippers, then they need to up their game. These are not cheap clippers so this should not have happened.
The blades get hot very quickly. I have a toy poodle and blades became hot after clipping nose and feet. The plastic doesn't fit flush hence a lot of vibrations. The dog hates the vibrations of this one more than any of the cheap clippers i’ve had.
Highlights
Quality
I've used it only once so far, on my miniature schnauzer with the 10 blade that came with the clippers.
The detachable heads are really good quality and are all salon grade.
Don't bother with the cheap ones for about £30, complete waste of money.
5 hours to cut my dogs hair, with the andis it was less than 30 minutes (more the dog not co-operating).
Packaging/appearance
They haven't disappointed and cut through the havi coat like butter, fairly silent, well at least it doesn't bother the dogs.
Competitiveness
Even at £145 i would suggest that these clippers are over priced.
