This is the second purchase of the same kettle i had to replace the previous one as the filter in the spout tore in my experience the material used for filters in virtually every kettle is too flimsy

When water is added then presto there is noise but thats the noise of bubbles bubbling away

We moved to an extremely hard water area in 2019 and its faired pretty well until recently im not great at remembering to descale so unfortunately the filter broke

I have searched for weeks trying to find a decent replacement because this model wasnt available we purchased a different one but returned it within a week
