On my unit if i press the vacuum seal button it does the vacuum bit but doesnt then seal i have to press the seal button for the heat seal element to work

In the guidance it also warns against packing sharp bones etc as they may puncture the bag from my experience this is unlikely to be an issue unless you are packing really sharp stuff or thin bags the vacuum is simply not powerful enough to make this a risk with the bags it is supplied with

Update it would seem that the fault lay in operator error now i have had more practice it would seem that the unit wont seal unless a suitable level of vacuum is achieved
