Pros

The ethernet (5) connector is gigabit. The usb-c cable to the pc is detachable on both ends, and therefore replaceable. It works fine with linux and macbook pro 2020 intel.

The dock supports 60 hertz refresh rates for my 4k monitor as well as allowing usb connections from the monitor. Simultaneous 4k@60hz streams work without a hitch.

Look of the unit is sleek and build quality is top notch. I wish the audio jack was in the rear and that the unit did not get so hot. Kind of like touching hot sand on the beach for the first time.

This is a thunderbolt 3 hub with the anker badge on it. It works flawlessly. I also like the small footprint of the dock.

I'm a photographer so the fast imports from cards was the priority for me. The sd card is upside down but it's pretty easy to remember, all contacts are between the 2 cards (the micro is right side up).

Cons

Is that a thing? Ok, screw this. Contacting anker was an exercise in frustration. Rather than support i get an admin who tells me a product specialist will call me back.

Small quirk ruins it for me. Seems like an inconvenience but paying 200 bucks for this is a pain.

Specs on paper look too good, but…1. This dongle nightmare is exactly the problem i bought this product to solve, and why i bit the bullet and accepted that premium price tag.
