Cons

A $3000 completely ruined by this hub. I’ve always preferred to buy anker because i trust them, so this is a real disappointment. Customer service chat is terrible.

Every time i plug it in the display goes in and out. Placing the socket is difficult to use with my surface pro 7. Battery indicator in system preferences shows charging but the battery icon in the top right of the screen battery is not charging.

Reviewer says it can't be used to send video to a tv or bluetooth to a mouse and keyboard. The adapter broke on him after a few days of use.

Worked great for a year, however when the cable is moved now, it disconnects :(

This is at least the 4th product i have purchased from anker and they have all be solid products.

Price

Good price, great combination for daily usage with my mac mini and macbook pro.

Super convenient and not too expensive for the ports that come with it.

I mean, you have to hate apple too cheap or something or other to put usb ports in the side of their laptops even though they cost $1000.

Competitiveness

It has enabled me to access external monitors which was not possible with other brands.

It’s been my favorite version of this so far and i have been through about 7 from other brands.
