You only need a 20pin adapter if your motherboard already has it is simpler and less expensive if not then you have to buy the mailiya pcie to usb 3

I like bringing usb 3 outlets to the front of an older computer rather than have to connect to the back

Not only did the mounting holes line up but also there is plenty of cable length allowing the 20pin data connector to plug right into connector on the usb 3 card
