The adapter works very well, it's well built and has many ports. It sits on my desk when i’m using the mbp in clamshell mode. The layout of the ports allows to get the power input and hdmi to the back.

It works reliably. My only concern is heat. It works nonetheless. Straight to the point, no excuses and immediately arranged for a new unit to be dispatched.
Cons
This is an expensive hub and the previous lenovo one was better - even if it failed after 3 years. Buyers beware this is not a cheap product, and one of the more expensive on here, but if you like me want and expect full speed it may be better to pay ... Read More

Negatives: after a few months the ethernet port stopped working.
Price
Could be a bit cheaper, but i guess you have to pay the going rate.
You can do a lot worse than this for slightly less cost.

Competitiveness
It will not be so cool or so cold as the caldigit that i had at work, but it is less than 1/3 cheaper.
I will suggest them a better way to distinguish between the usb-c pd and the usb-c one that it is only data.
