If you want the mac to work you need to go on to the displaylink website and get the graphics driver

Only question in my mind right now is the ethernet port which worked for a while and then went into a pluggedunplugged cycle

So even though it says it wont work for mac that probably is because it shipped without mac drivers which came out later

Just downloaded the latest driver from the displaylink website installed the dependency listed on the readme and it worked as soon as i plugged the usb cable to the laptop

I can confirm its not just the monitor as when i hook up the same monitor directly to my laptops hdmi or displayport outputs the picture quality is much better

I ended up calling customer support as i realized that this could be a hardware issue
