Packaging/appearance
Cartridges are packaged indiviually in the box and employ the same kind of ink pad protection shield as in the originals.
* per the packaging, the cartridges should be "store in a dark environment" and "avoid exposure to sunlight.
I'm not sure what the longevity is as far as printing photos, and longevity is not noted on the packaging.
Competitiveness
Great alternative to more expensive oem ink.
In terms of quality, the color prints as good as the brand name ink jet cartridges.
