I did receive an initial package with the glass broken but that appeared to be a shipping issue and amazon gave me a refund.

So the packaging and shipping may leave something to be desired but the product itself is great.
The packaging was wonderful, nothing came broken or scratched.

The frames are indeed wood as i saw a small splinter jutting out from one of the pieces but it was so small as to be inconsequential and after removing it didnt deter from the overall look of the frame so no worries
