Pros & Cons
Pros
The plunger is a bit stiff for me to use with my arthritic hands, but it's worth the extra effort. The bottom end is like a drain snake, and i was able to use that to move the item further out, and then grab it with the pincers.
Cons
It has frequent hangups and the claws bend easily. It works unless you bend it.

My dad is so old and is constantly dropping stuff.
In about 3 attempts got the earring out of the bathroom sink drain!
Price
For the price (compared to a local auto store) i am very happy with it.
They told me they couldn’t help and offered a 30% discount on a new one.
That said, it was a good value for the money and with a little effort it can be reshaped to work smoothly.
The previous version i had was much less expensive but this was still a decent value in the long run.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging this arrived in had it bent in half, a permanent deformation unfortunately.
Unit was in a horseshoe shape to fit in the packaging therefore it was close to a 90 degree angle when i took it out of the package.

This causes the flexible shaft to be a little harder to operate until you reshape it

This could be very simply avoided by wrapping it in a circle and shipping in a square envelope
