Quality

Packaging/appearance
Helmet was set up right out of the box.
This all changed that when i first pulled it out of the box.
Competitiveness
Best value for the money the auto darkening feature works perfect and it comes with aditional clear lenses.
Time will tell how it holds up, but i can’t imagine finding a better tig helmet for the price!
The real battery is a cr2450 and it’s on the backside of the side adjuster.

My previous autodarken helmet just didn’t cut it and wasn’t sensitive enough to reliably trigger on the tig arc causing frequent flashes that really made a challenging craft near impossible

It triggers every time even at 2 amp starts and doesn’t seem to mind my led shop lights that really messed with my last helmet

I think this hood really works great for the money but if the coin batteries in it go dead then the shade darkens too much and you cant see your puddle

If you just turn the darkness down instead of replacing the batteries then youll strain your eyes

I planned on a small project with an old stick welder i found in garage along with the traditional non auto darkening welding helmet couldn’t see through that until the arc i couldn’t see what i was welding and while i was successful the weld looked amateurish because i couldn’t see exactly where i was going with the old helmet
