Pros & Cons
Pros
For $99, this 180hz 24 monitor is quite a steal. The monitor can be positioned easily, and there is very little wobbly. The refresh rate of 180 is stable on my unit.
The use of high-quality materials ensures durability. The graphics are immaculate! Shipping and 54.
The only bummer is when using it for an xbox, connecting an external sound device through means other than a 3. Mm headphone jack. Easy to setup. Great clarity and functionality for the price paid.
As a va panel contrast is much better than another mini-led ips with 3x the dimming zones. With the right settings and content, bloom is very minimal and the brightness is retina-melting.
If you set the monitor overdrive to strong or medium, it is kind of less noticeable. Game mode works well with ps5 for shutter/lag.
Cons
Third, aoc support is nonexistent, so your warranty is as good as nonexistent. Making a claim for a refund was a total nightmare too.
The curved aspect makes it worse for gaming. These monitors seem great, and even affordable, that is until you realize they are disposable.
There is a noticable black edge that runs around the screen where there is no picture. The excessive red tint makes it unusable. The stand is also flimsy.

Price
This aoc monitor is beyond impressive for the cost.
And true oled hdr while getting less expensive is still well above 500$ range.
I genuinely have no clue how these are under $300.
It's basically the only budget option with actual hdr (hdr 1000 certified) and not that crappy hdr 400.

Image: ignored that it looks washed out, i wasn't directly on it, i have hdr on, and it's bright in my room.
Competitiveness
I did a dead pixel test and found no dead pixel, while the lg and asus both showed dead pixels since day 1.
Compared to the joystick and buttons of asus, aoc buttons feel too cheap and i'll never get used to them.
But once you have it set up, this monitor smokes the competition unless you're looking for something specific like very high re... Read More
