The refresh rate is perfect, my 2080 super has no problems driving demanding titles well over this monitors max refresh rate of 144hz. Putting it next to my old 21 inch asus monitor makes me realise just how good the colour is.
Only setting i've changed so far is to gamer. The colours and brightness all look great to me. I also have a 4k oled philips tv and the colours are honestly just as good!
Cons

The overdrive and strobe settings (and gaming modes) do nothing to reduce motion blur/ghosting. Aoc support is extremely slow and unhelpful.

Competitiveness
Seems decent enough for an entry level monitor one of the better ones i've owed at a cheap price
My biggest piece of advice though is to make sure you have a display port cable that is capable of running a 1440p monitor at 144hz!
No screen tearing and provides a smooth 144hz refresh rate.
