Pros
The aoc monitor has been used almost daily for 4 years and is still working perfectly. There are three different variations of this display, so reviewers need to be specific about what they bought.
The usb c connection is great for minimizing cords needed for travel. It works well with a usb a to usb c adapter.
These are definitely durable. The exterior is all plastic, but very durable. Easy to remove. Amazon has tons of options here.
The screen is actually larger than my laptop, which is nice. It’s a smidge larger than the one i checked out at the office. It is a fantastic size if you want to put a single app on a second monitor and get it off your main display.
The i1659fwux comes with a cable that has male usb 3. The cardboard comes with the package, the 3m hooks cheap and the flexible, shorter cable, under $8 from amazon. This version of the aoc monitor uses a usb3.
Cons
Don't buy if want portrait mode! Very, very disappointed. I am glad other people are enjoying their product.
With his attached, aoc disappears and then shows the assigned screen. With mine, nothing. This was not communicated clearly. Then the ticket was closed.
It's not very crisp, has pretty bad glare, and the image quality is somewhat distorted. It's also hard on my eyes due to this.

The display is of great quality for a portable monitor.
My usbc port does not support displayport alt mode so every monitor i had tried was requiring at least two cables which was annoying.
The screen is very light, but well built.

Great for the price and i definitely recommend
I highly recommend this little guy to anyone looking for an affordable monitor for an on-the-go gamer or developer.
I bought a returned one, at a big discount off the new price.
If you need a 2nd screen and not want to spend a lot of money, this is it!

Arrived fast and was packaged well and in great condition
I pack it in my suitcase instead of my laptop bag just because it’s not super thin.
As you see in the picture it's a little bit too much dimmed out but other than that it's a pretty cool monitor and very portable😼

I searched high and low and finally decided to try the usb3 aoc option

I crossed my fingers as i plugged one blue usb to my lap top and one blue usb cord to the monitor
