At this level of expense and need, another few dollars is well worth the advantages of the lighter and longer lasting batteries.

That's when i learned that unfortunately the battery is nearly $200!

The purchase price through amazon for a new apc smc1500-2uc, without any trade in, was significantly less $$ than apc direct!

So i did, but the price went up by $16.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging threw me off at first glance, but within was a product that i was familiar with.

I thought they hide it somewhere in the packing foams or boxes, but they did not have it.

Competitiveness

The pricing on this ups beat all the competitors.

Note that the battery for this model is rbc6, quite a bit smaller as capacity than the one rbc7 of the previous model or of the smt model.
