Pros

This plays havaoc with the modem router and nas. Obviously it becomes noisier when activated but that's rare and fine by me. Works faultlessly with a synology ds918+ using the supplied data cable and does not need any additional software or updates. C...  Read More

It is lighter than i expected, no issue unpacking - barring a plastic bag it is all card and moulded papier mache. The quickstart booklet is small, but as with all tech i downloaded all the available documentation and the software then printed the doc...  Read More

Easy to use and easy to keep powered at all times. Has a push button on/off switch on the top surface. Comes with a £60 spares box.

Can power some nice massive bluetooth speakers and hifi. Would save me a mains socket too. Uses standard uk 3-pin mains sockets, rather than iec sockets, iec being more common in ups systems.

Set up next to a wall socket, plugged in, taped over the switch and left it overnight. I use the simple system of shutting down and unplugging at night - works fine, no overheating.

Cons

Years on from buying it my rating has dropped from 5-stars to 2-stars. The data cable is a standard network cable at one end and a usb at the other - it seems a bit ridiculous and frustrating to not supply this as the software relies upon it. Unfortun...  Read More

Gave up trying and requested a replacement unit after contacting amazon tech support. Amazon are willing to refund it - but are refusing to take the item back.

The only way to stop the alarm is to take the battery out. After 16 hours, the unit was completely discharged. It refuses to charge any more and just beeps. Plugged the battery in, plugged it into the wall, and there's a continuous audible alarm.

Quality

Anyway this has 8 rather than the cyberpower's 6 and i only use 2 or 3 anyway - so decided to go ahead with the purchase.

I am very, very happy with it.

)3) it did come with the proprietary usb cable, which has an rj45 plug at one end.

Price

In conclusion:the bluetti is a power brick with ups built in at 3x the price.

Packaging/appearance

In the synology software i've configured the nas to shut itself down if power doesn't return in ten minutes, after which it wou...  Read More

Upon power being returned, the synology reboots, restarts all servers and boots up as normal.

Competitiveness

Bought to support a qnap storage unit and it works to trigger saving of files in a power cut.

Works faultlessly with a synology ds918+ using the supplied data cable and does not need any additional software or updates.

Bought a cyberpower br700elcd but after a full charge and test i could see this would also not work - the battery appeared not ...  Read More

So i reluctantly ordered the recommended separate lead - at a ridiculous price.

I dont understand why the cable is special its just usb and so the manufacturer could use a standard usb socket

I emulated power failure by unplugging the ups from power and the synology nas started the shutdown process as expected

On ups the nas could run for a few hours not tested how many but ultimately for me it’s goal is simply to gracefully shutdown the nas and not keep it running

There is a warning buzzer alarm sound when the mains power is off to alert you when i tested the setup

There was enough time to shutdown all my work but i did not try to see how long the battery supply would run for before the battery drained

The only grip i have is the sockets are close together and none of them can rotate which is fine for devices with standard small plugs but not so good for devices with large power pack plugs or the back to front plugs

About 40 minutes later the ups was out of juice
