I have diabetes and the treadmill helps to keep my blood sugar in check. I'm very grateful for these devices. Looks like a winner here to me.
It rides out blips and burps during storms and power company maintenance. No buzzing or humming coming from the unit whatsoever. I live in a rural area and my power blinks all the time when we have storms.

Cons
Tried to return this several times, but having no luck with customer support through amazon. Epic fail from apc. It's not realistic to only give 30 days warranty.
The surge protection is gone for most devices (incompetence? Does not hold a charge long enough to turn off equipment in case of power outage. It now clicks continuously. Even when nothing is plugged in, it clicks.

Some thing i should’ve had a long time ago and would’ve prevented a lot of problems with my other computers.
This is the second one of these i've purchased, and it works well as a battery backup.
What can i say, the light is on, the alarm is off, and it is like believing in seat belts!
I've only had problems with one unit over all that time, and it was a relatively minor issue.
Price
This battery backup was easy to setup and not very expensive.
