Price
Hard to get excited about it but that's what you are paying about £90 for.
These things used to cost several hundred pounds.
But for £80 its not a bad buy imho
At £84 i thought this was good value for an established brand.
Shipping
The item is shipped with the battery deliberately disconnected.
My ups died after nearly 12 years of continuous non-stop service, not missing a heartbeat in brown-outs and power cuts!
After contacting apc, and going through troubleshooting, they set up an rma, and shipped a replacement.
A minute after that, the nas sends a signal to the ups to switch off, which it does.
Competitiveness
For other devices that use far less power like a router or smart tv these ups devices can run them for hours!

It looks like the ups battery is finally dying now connected things lost power turning ups offon gives a constant tone but thats a replaceable part and lasted longer than i expected it to

Basically these are a battery like in a phone or laptop for all your non battery devices

If the power fails all the connected devices instantly run off the battery in the unit till the power comes back on

As you can destroy or scramble your os if you lose power during an update

So the power should come back on before the battery runs out or after 45mins you can choose to power off the devices safely but manually
