Pros & Cons
Pros
Remove center screw from existing ceiling outlet cover and screw the apc in securely (longer screw provided) - mine feels like it will easily hold the weight if i need to use all six apc outlets. I like this white one because it is small and convenien... Read More
Plugs plus 2 usb ports make it so great, plus they space out each outlet. Have been using this about 6 weeks with a small room heater, a robovac, a router and an indoor cam attached. Easy to install. Has usb ports if u didn't want to use the charging ... Read More
Apc outlet extender has more widely spaced outlets on the side of the plug. My son's college dorm has, literally, one plug set on each side.
These fill the role as a cheap point of use protection for less sensitive devices where you're really only protecting from light surges/transients. They're also a good solution for protecting against smaller internal surges from other devices on the s... Read More
Cons
This plug is a fire hazard. It can't be used as a multiple plug.
It takes hours to recharge a phone. The charging ports are not 2. What is the point of charging more for the usb ports if they are useless? The usb chargers are unbelievably slow. I own four and all of them fail to meet usb expectations.

Very good product must have it for computer outlet
The product is rated for 15a only (be careful on 20a circuits), has voltage protection rating of 400v l-n, l-g and n-g, with an in=3ka.
Always check that spec on every surge protector you buy - anything greater than 400v is not worth buying and using because it w... Read More
Price
Peace of mind for a reasonable cost.
After losing $2500 worth of electronics during a thunder storm, i went whole hog on surge protective devices (spd's).
The epp is supposed to pay out if your stuff that is plugged into the spd breaks because of a surge.
Finally, i want to inform people that the current price for this is too high.
Competitiveness
The joule rating is much higher than other outlet extenders.
This is a very much different animal than the equipment protection plan (epp).
