It has been installed in an apc es700 in somewhat warm small office conditions regularly up at 25c sometimes higher and has just failed in the last few days with the ups monitor reporting a new battery is required

If id had a cooler office its reasonable to expect this to get closer to the 5 year mark

I originally bought the ups in 2012 with the same apc battery in and that also lasted about 3 years in the same conditions

The price for the battery has been increased by 70 was £30 now £51 in the three years since i bought it which now makes the cheaper nonapcschneider electric batteries look a bit more appealing than the last time around

A brand new ups unit with a new battery can be acquired for considerably if you shop around less than twice the battery price
