Pros
The apc smart outlet has a setup wifi network called apc-xxxxx. It's huge, with tons of plugs and usb ports. There are an additional 3 outlets that are always on. This power strip is solid and its working great.
App works fine in my pixel 4 xl and my oneplus 7 pro. It works with voice commands (i use alexa).
Cons
The apc app is terrible. The app errors out on a regular basis, making me have to force quit and reopen. It's just unfortunate that the horrible connectivity of the surge protector prevents you from actually getting full usage out of the product. I wo... Read More
The apc strip is slightly 2 months old, and passed the 30 day (used to be 90 days) return window. It fails completely at what it claims it can do, and also fails as a simple power strip by turning off plugs at random.
There were dozens of attempts, from various locations, with multiple resets. Resetting the surge protector is not intuitive.

Alexa doesnt always turn on and off the right outlet or turn them on and off at all

Unit did require that i download the apc home app and create an account first and setup the wifi connection through its app once setup i searched the alexa skill apc home and enabled it everything was then connected and worked via alexa echo dot clock turns on lights and has scheduling available

The xxx is the devices mac address that is printed on the back on a sticker with barcodes
