At this level of expense and need, another few dollars is well worth the advantages of the lighter and longer lasting batteries.

That's when i learned that unfortunately the battery is nearly $200!

The purchase price through amazon for a new apc smc1500-2uc, without any trade in, was significantly less $$ than apc direct!

Not cheap, but i've bought cheap before and was disappointed.

I received it on time, i am very satisfied with my purchase.

I got this 5 years ago to serve as a reliable ups for my cpap machine.

That does include free return shipping for your spent battery but still, that's more than i hoped for.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging threw me off at first glance, but within was a product that i was familiar with.

Competitiveness

The pricing on this ups beat all the competitors.

Note that the battery for this model is rbc6, quite a bit smaller as capacity than the one rbc7 of the previous model or of the smt model.
