Pros

Usb ports are convenient for charging your phones and ipads. Not much surge suppression, but does give 6 receptacles & 2 usb ports. Excellent wall outlet.

Most of the time just a couple lights are plugged into it so no big deal. Shows when your outlet is protected by the green light. When you properly install apc things they have a coverage policy that goes with them.

Plug and play simplicity. Simple, cheap yet highly functional and sensible. V until about 3. A as rated.

Easy to install, and thinner than most extenders. Not too tight or too loose when plugging in to the 3 prong outlets. The sockets pivot to accommodate larger plugs.

Cons

It's ridiculous to have this on what should be a boring, inconspicuous product. It is big and bulky, it makes a humming noise when it is plugged in. The surge protector isn't strong enough to handle it.

The best consumer surge protectors are 330 volts. This is the second apc wall socket device that has had overheating issues for us.
