I use the apex 435 exclusively for voice, and i am completely pleased with its clarity.

I was blown away by the quality you get for the price here.

I wasn't expecting much for the price, but i was blown away by the sound quality of these things.

If you can swing it though, the apex 460 is 20x's better but is well over 3x's the price.

Instead, i am using the 80 hz roll-off filter built into my console, and i am quite happy.

It has a built-in 100 hz roll-off high-pass filter, but i haven't tried it.
