Pros & Cons
Pros
Crescent adjustable wrench is an adjustable wrench with a slide feature. It is designed to be used to hold a nut on a bolt. The quality of this wrench is unequaled.
Cons
It appears there is a problen with the mesh of the gearing and moving the slide adjustment, slow or fast, causes the gears to jump position. The slider mechanism isn't what its made out to be. That's flat-out dishonest!
This wrench is made in china. It is now a paperweight that looks like a wrench. The handle is too thick to snap into the metal adjustable wrench loop on my pouch.

Noticed that underneath the screw that holds the slider mechanism in place there were washers that acted as shims tried different heights moderate success but still a no go

Then i wanted to try and completely strip the damn thing and thats when i started fooling with the bolt that has a flat head slot on the side of the wrench

On mine it would only go 14 in either direction and the threads were mashed as to keep it from cumming out with a little trial and error i got it to work perfectly and it now slides smooth as silk in either direction

Who knowsalso if your slider works its way down over time easy fix take the mechanism out with the one screw and a flat head to pry out slide all the way forward make sure the wrench is fully closed so everything lines up

I think this is a great concept but on every one i have played with or read about the mechanism seems to be a weak point
