What sets these apart from others is that the straps wrap over the top of the gel pack completely around your afflicted body part and are designed to attach to themselves as opposed to having to stick onto the gel pack covering

I recently had surgery for a torn discoid meniscus and have been using an ice pack flat rectangular in shape

It worked but i had to lay down while using it so it just sat there on top of the knee and upper thigh

As it softened up it would drape over the sides of the knee but ideally you want to wrap it tightly around from the start

Even after being frozen overnight i was still able to bend it from the start to wrap it around my knee and then secure it with the velcro straps
