Cons
Also clouded the water change water. Had to clean replace the water asap. There are other branded ammonia detoxifies that are way more affective.
This product stinks in my opinion. Tossed the rest of the product in the trash. This product is trash and will do more harm then good.
Ammo-lock is hydromethane sulfinate, it converts ammonia to ammonium. Ammonium is harmless to fish at levels found in an aquarium, but is used the same as ammonia by your nitrifying bacteria. Use only in case of the most dire emergency.
Highlights
Quality
Product works well easy joseph using the cap.
I have noted clarity of the water improved with this product.
The product does work but you have to know how to dose.
This product for me serves 2 purposes.
Price
I ordered it thinking it was the standard size because it's pretty much the same price i paid at petco.
Shipping
This product also shipped very fast and came just in time.
Competitiveness
So if for example you have 8ppm, after dosing you’ll still have 5ppm available and this is what will kill your fish.
It's more like a bandaid that buys you time to figure out why your ammonia spiked.
Of solution per 2 gallons of water, 5ml.
